FORMAT:

All players will participate in an 18-hole four-ball stroke play competition (two-person better ball).  Each player receives 95% of their course handicap.  If partners’ course handicaps differ by more than 8 strokes, an additional 10% reduction will be applied to their course handicaps (this is the USGA recommendation).  If a player’s lowest Handicap Index is above 18.4, she will play down to 18.4.

Roger Dunn Gift Card prizes will be awarded to the top 5 low gross and net finishers.  Ties will be broken by the USGA method of matching scorecards, which is determined by using Holes 10-18. (See Appendix I: Conditions of the competition in the rules of Golf).

All players will play to their lowest Handicap Index from May 1st to July 15th.

PACE OF PLAY:

The Tournament Committee at each competition will determine the maximum allowable time each group is permitted to play the stipulated round.  This time will be posted on each player’s scorecard and each player is expected to maintain a pace faster than the maximum allowable time.  The stipulated round is complete when the last player in the group completes play of the final hole and the flagstick is replaced. Please be sure to keep up with the group in front of you. Click here for more information on the SCGA Pace of Play Policy.

REGISTRATION:

Please check-in at the registration table near the pro shop.  Registration will begin at 6:30 a.m.

STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS:

Starting times and pairings will be e-mailed to players and posted online at scga.org prior to the tournament. Starting times will range from 7:30 a.m. to approximately 9:00 a.m.

Players are encouraged to arrive at their assigned tee well in advance of their starting time, as the SCGA starter will have information to discuss and distribute to each player in the group.  Furthermore, players arriving late will be penalized under Rule 5.3a of the Rules of Golf.  For example, the 8:00 a.m. starting time is defined as 8:00:00, and players arriving after that time are considered late.  Lead groups should plan to be at their assigned tee 10 minutes in advance of their starting time.  Subsequent groups are encouraged to arrive in time to watch the group in front of them tee off.
